Data collection was carried out by completing three attempts: Sociodemographic Questionnaire, Emotional Competence Questionnaire (ESQC) adapted for the Portuguese population by Faria and Lima Santos (2005) and Brief Questionnaire on Constructive Conflict Management. As for the results, athletes with secondary education have greater emotional competences and more effective conflict resolution strategies than athletes with primary education. We also found that Social Skills (Ability to Deal with Emotion, Emotional Perception, Emotional Expression) correlated positively and significantly with Conflict Management (Agreeableness, Dominance, Compromise).
